Pope Benedict and his latest encyclical

Pope Benedict spoke about the encyclical:

"Without the light of faith which penetrates the darkness of original sin, reason cannot go forward. It runs into the resistance of our will. It does not want to see the way, which would be a path of self-denial and of correction of one's own will in favor of the other, not of oneself."

The encyclical is well worth reading. One line: "When he is far away from God, man is unsettled and ill at ease."

Put God first in our lives, desire to seek his will rather than our own, and all will work for good!

God desires to direct and guide our lives but he waits patiently for our permission. We are like ships without a captain when we don't put God first in our life. But when we do he guides us on our journey with great love and compassion and kindness. God bless all!!
