St. Paphnutius, pray for us!
The moral sense and the religious sense do not consist in what one knows or can do, but in what one wills. "To the extent that you will, that you do," Saint Gregory wrote. There is no excuse, then. Religiously and morally, I am precisely what I will, in the measure that I will it and as long as I will it. On that alone does God judge me.
