St. Gregory Barbarigo, pray for us!

St. Gregory Barbarigo - Saints & Angels - Saints & Angels - Catholic Online

(Taken from the June Magnificat, pg 259)
The Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces. (Is 25: 8)
The poet of this first of the seven penitential psalms (Psalm 6) pleads with God for deliverance from the dreadful misery of sin. Our foes are really our own distorted thoughts and selfish habits, which wreak more damage than we often imagine.

(Taken from the June Magnificat, pgs 261-262)
The impulse of fallen human nature is to attempt to store up for ourselves treasure...but it amounts to a futile act of fated self-reliance. Where our treasure is, there also is our heart. So Jesus tells us to "store up treasure in heaven," that is to deepen our relationship of love and faith with God.

God bless!!
